Just curious if anyone knows if remote start is an option on 2016 T5 Inscription S60..... I'm assuming it is a special order since it doesn't work using my remote. The owners manual doesn't offer much if any clarification. Same thing with the roll down window feature using remote ..... nada. I read somewhere the roll down feature is strictly a European feature and not sold in the U.S. ? Still love the car though.
If installed (It's a software download) here's the directions for use. My 2015 has the same remote, and starts the car as described, but won't roll down the windows. I wasn't aware I had remote start until I tried it! My 2020 does windows from the remote - remote start for that car is through the Volvo phone app.
Thanks for the info....when you say software download, does it have to come pre-installed or is it an option you can somehow get/purchase? My remote doesn't respond to the owners manual instructions for remote starting.
Thanks!

The process would be to ask your dealer (or anyone with a VIDA subscription) to install remote start. VIDA is the factory service/parts/diagnostic/everything you need program. Info on it is at Volvotechinfo.com . They then would use VIDA to install the software "downloading" it into your CEM - (central electric module)
Before I was aware my car had remote start already installed I asked how much it would cost to activate that feature and was told ~$400.
