Default Remove rear spoiler on 2012 R-Design?

I have a 2012 S60 R-Design and I am considering removing the rear spoiler. Does anyone know how difficult this would be? I assume it is just attached with double-sided tape?

More imporantly, am I crazy for wanting to remove it? I thought the lines of the car would look better without it.

My guess is that it is attached with more than 2 sided tape. That being said I would vote that you are crazy for wanting to remove it.

I asked a tech at the Volvo dealership and he was "fairly" certain it was only double sided tape. Can anyone confirm? His lack of confidence had me a little worried...

Default Removing Spoiler from late model S60

Skottema,

Take a look at this link.

Spoiler, boot lid - S60 2012 - Volvo Cars Accessories Web

If the R-Design has a trunk lid like the other S60s (and I think they do), it looks like the spoiler is glued on. But REALLY glued on (if it was installed using teh process described in teh link). Looks like isopropol alchohol is the solvent.

I agree with you; looks better without.
