RE: Removing Exterior Moulding 04 s60
Starting at the front - Remove the side indicator lamp. The trim behind it is held by two plastic clips. Pull the trim straight out.
Doors - The trim is held on by two covered clips and double sided adhesive tape. Pull it straight out.
Doors lower trim - Working from the inside of the door remove three screws then detach the two covered clips by pulling the trim straight out.

RE: Removing Exterior Moulding 04 s60
Sorry, I missed this one.
Yes, it is the flasher in the fender or, in the UK, the side repeater in the wing.
Press the lamp housing forward, pulling out the rear edge at the same time. When the rear edge is far enough out the front edge can be released. Disconnect the wiring connector.
If the bulb goes this is how to replace it.

New Trim?
Hey do any of you know where I can buy new trim? I just got my car and it's SUPER faded and I've been trying all night to find replacement pieces for them but there is nothing available that covers the whole front bumper and rear bumper, here are some pics of what I am talking about:

If you want your trim the original color, try this stuff it works great:

It's been two years since I did mine and it still looks pretty good. My cars are garage kept though.

The problem with 2001-2004 trim is that they are all textured and if you are going to colour match it to the vehicle, it will not have that 'smooth' finish to it. I've read/seen some that have sanded the textured portion to the mouldings for that smooth finish, but it's seems like a pain.
Instead of sanding all the mouldings, what I've done is tracked down a 2005-UP s60. I will be having the all 10 pieces (8 doors + 2 fender) taken to the b/s and refinished to match my car. The 05-UP vehicle have non-textured trim and can easily be refinished w/o sanding. I've also was able to get the rocker trim as well. Yes you may have to replace some clips, but between both the donor and my vehicle, I was able to salvage them. FYI, the clips for the lower door trim and rocker panels are the same; rocker trim takes two type of clips, the other is a black push type clip (these are one time use and can be found in pack of 15 on ebay for $9 pn# 9133417).
If you do a little research/effort, it will be worth it. I hope info helps and good luck with the trim.

Bennie,
2001-04 and 2005-09 door and rocker mouldings are exactly the same size and shape. The only difference between the two is the finish to the plastic. The early trim is black textured (no paint to trim) and the later are non-textured and can be painted to match body refinish colour. If you can track down a 05-newer s60 donor vehicle, you're in luck.

Here is what I did to change the color on the moldings
Hey so what I did which was SUPER inexpensive and turned out great was to buy the 3M Di Noc Carbon Fiber Vinyl and cover the moldings in it, I also sprayed them with two coats of clear coat. Here are the results!
