replace 2013 T5 S60 alternator
Hello, new here & fairly new to this Volvo (daughter's car). I have to replace the alternator, etc. How does one remove the intake manifold to make room to extract the alternator? The bolts are underneath, very little room otherwise. Curious as to the easiest method so I don't spin my wheels during the process. Thanks!
BTW, pulley is shot & I want to replace the entire alternator, not just the pulley (already bought everything) since she is going to college soon. With just over 104k, I don't want to chance this electrical problem in the future. I know the procedure, except removing the intake manifold & associated parts directly above the alternator. Everything looks easy & obvious except for the manifold removal. Thanks!

Yes, got it. But how does one remove the throttle body (I incorrectly called it the intake manifold, thanks for the correction)?
Ok, looked it up, looks like only the TB needs to be removed, not the entire intake manifold & TB. 4 torx, accesses from underneath. Looks like accessing the two back ones are the hardest to get to. Anyone have any tips or is it just pretty much straightforward with a stubby driver?

Hey hoonk, where did you download that service manual? It looks like a good version.
