Hello all, new user with my first Volvo, hoping someone can help out. I need to replace the inside rear view mirror, the anti-dazzle oil lost it's mind. I have a good replacement from a donor car, and I've read the procedures to do transplant surgery between the original and replacement mirrors to avoid having to reprogram the car security, but....

The car came without a key, and I need to take the thing to the dealer to reprogram the new key anyway. Anyone know if I swap the mirror before i take it up, can it be programmed all at once? Or should I swap the guts first?

This is a 2001 S60, hope to make it a winter driver for my wife, but not looking to spend a lot.
