Default Replacing stock tires 01-S60

2001 S-60 62,000 miles. Stability Traction Control.
car came with Michelin 205-55 HR16 MX4V tires originally.
Discount Tire pulls up car application and they want to put Michelin 215-55 R16 tires on it.
both have H speed rating.

should I stick with the original due to design and engineering of STC?
or go with a wider tire?

Michelin MXV tyres wear out in a nanno second...................I went through several sets on two different autos. Might I suggest Continental's??

That little bit of diffence shouldn't have a major impact on the handling or the STC. I have the Michelin Hydroedge on mine and have been very happy with the handling, wear, etc. They are also an 80,000 mile tire.

thanks,
I will look into other brands and designs to make the best decision.
also another consideration is cost.
the stock tires still have tread and lasted till 62,000 ------so i guess it also depends on whom is driving.
