Are s60 2.4 good cars to buy USED????
Hey everyone I'm thinking about buying a used s60 2.4.....Are they generally good cars? Will I have major problems with it in the future being the fact that it has 55k miles!
Please advise truthfully, thanks.

They had throttle body issues,Some minor electrical problems with the modules,The turning radius is pretty bad.
But over all the cars are great.

I bought a used s60 with 25k miles and it has had horrible electrical issues. The car's system can't be diagnosed by the dealers technical staff which has ended up costing me alot of time and back and forth to the dealer. I am in the process of lemon law action. If you buy it, get a long warranty as part of the deal.
stay away from 2001 s60. I have had engine power problems and a friend has had his 01 in the shop six times in three months. His issues were ball joints, breaks and suspension. My issues have not been solved but it seems others have had power and transmission problems on this model.
Hey guys I’m new to the forum. Well I recently bought a S60 2.4 non turbo with a 2 year/24k miles extended warranty so far everything in car is perfect driving is superb interior is very comfortable. I just have 2 issues with car the memory seats I’m having a hard time trying to adjust to them to my settings
. also when I slow to down a to a complete stop say for example from 5 mph to 0 the car makes a weird clicking noise coming from the rear of the car I think it is the rear brakes (lines) also the same noise appears when I happen to accelerate from 0 to 10mph. Any one have any thoughts to what it might be.

I too would like to know how to program the seat memory with my remote, couldn't find anything in the manual. I have a 2001 2.4t.
Two other concerns I have are, a slight lag right off the line from a stopped postion, a split second of no power when i give it gas, then it just takes off. The other thing is it pulls to the right pretty much all the time, especially during acceleration.
The dealership service guys told me both things were "normal", that a little pull to the right was normal with the front power something or other..... and the slight hessitation was just kind of the nature of these cars and that "i'd get used to it". Nice, huh?

Both things are normal. The throttle connection with the S60's is not a mechanical connection, it is an electronic connection. When you push the accelerator the information is not transmitted via a throttle cable but electronically. The pull to the right is inherent with all front wheel drive vehicles. However, if it is constant you may want to take it to a tire dealer and have them check the alignment.

I also noticed that problem when i let go of the brake and try to accelerate the car wont budge an inch unless i hit the gas pedal i guess i will get used to it.

hey keck, the way you program the seats to the remote is as follows, (on my 2002 anyway) first unlock the car with the remote. Get in, adjust the seat to where you want it, store it in memory. Get out shut the door and lock the car with the same remote. From then on when ever you unlock the car with that SAME remote it will go to the position it was at when it was last locked with that remote. Note: the seat doesn't move until you open the door after unlocking it.
Hope that helps.
