Found 2004 S80 69K at used car dealer. Is it a good buy?
Could you guys tell me if this car is worth taking look at? I was originaly looking for S60 but $11,590 for 2004 S80 looks like a good price. I am just not sure about the V6 engine (I think it is turbo). Would prefer plain 2.4L non-turbo one but hey, it is going to be S80 :-) Would I expect significant mpg drop with this engine vs the plain 2.4L?

I am asking because it is over an hour drive for me to get to the dealer and I have no experience with Volvos (or any cars if that matters).
Any comments are appreciated. Thank you.

I have a 1999 S80 2.9 and a 2001 S80 2.9, both with the V6 engine. Bought new. NEVER had any engine problems. Get about 20mpg city and 25mpg highway. Regular maintenance is not inexpensive but worth it. Had to replace engine mount, front sway bars, and drivers side window lift, on the '99. No major repairs on the '01. Great cars. Give it a real test drive. It feels quite different than similar models of Mercedes or Lexus,

I just got my 2004 S80 2.9L non-turbo last December.
So far it runs great, gets good gas mileage and the maintenance has not been bad at all on my end. Mine has 70000 miles and change. The only major part that I had to replace was the power steering fluid reservoir @ $60 and the right side rear roof trim. 04' S80 is a good buy.
