Can anyone help?

I have this annoying erratic idle, sometimes its ok and sometimes its a pain, the engine will suddenly jump from about 700 rpm to 1100 rpm making the car uncomfortable when coasting.

My dealer has checked the systems and everything is cool, they are suggesting it may need a de-coke can this be true; the engine has only 48000 miles on it.

If anyone has any suggesttions please let me know.

 

I'll bet your throttle body needs cleaning! A point to remember: run a can of valve cleaner and a can of injector cleaner every now and then.............it will work wonders in retarding the throttle body problem.
