My Second Post... This Forum is great - By the way.

My 98 S40 1.8 (115BHP) Is being a little eratic. When I start her on a cold morning, she start but the revs are eratic and she will stall straight away. I can restart and give her extra gas and she run well until I release the gas then she stalls of the revs will drop to about 500 then jump up to 1200 rpm and then up and down.. or stall again.... If I turn off the car remove the key and lock the car using the fob, unlock and restart, the car will behave.....!!!!


Any ideas?

Have you checked for vaccum leaks?

Is there any software upgrades avalible from the dealer for your car.

Sorry we don't have 1998 S40's in the states we didn't get them till 2000.
