S60 Check Engine and Timing Belt
I'm new to the site but love the knowledge base here. I replaced the timing belt on my '03 S60 at 90,000. The car runs great but since replacing the belt the check engine light is on. I had a local garage replace the cam sensor but that has not solved the problem. The code can be cleared but within minutes (seconds) the light comes back. Is there an adjustment I can make that will clear the code? Sure would appreciate your help!

OK I went to Advanced Auto and the code is P0017 Cam Crankshaft Position Sensor Bank 1. Their reader had two codes but they were both exactly the same code. A mechanic replaced the sensor months ago in order to pass inspecition but the code cleared only long enough to slap the sticker on. Another mechanic that is more familiar with Volvos tells me the belt is off a tooth. Does the code give any clue where it's off so if I redo the sucker I can get it right this time around?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

the exact code readout for that is as follows
P0017 Crankshaft Position Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor B)
which means that the crank shaft position sensor and the camshaft position sensor are butting heads. so I agree the belt probably slipped.
replacing the belt is pretty easy and adjusting it is a cake walk. all you need to do is rotate the crankshaft until the crankshaft timing mark is lined up and the front (intake) timing mark lines up and then move the back camshaft to the appropriate position.
there are plenty of walkthroughs if you feel up to taking on the task.

Nichals--I'm up for it, can you point me to a walk through that does a good job pointing out the timing marks? I had a hard time identifying them last time through which is how I got it out of whack I think. Any tips, tricks, secrets, that can help me get it right would be most appreciated.
