s60 engine swap need urgent help
ok so i have a 04 s60 with the 2.5t awd setup in it..my engine just recently threw a rod
and now is useless to me. would it b appplicable to use a 2.4 non turbo engine in it or is there another more cost efficient way? most i can use is roughly $900 and i can get a 2.4 for $400 and than do the swap but i dont know exactly what changes need to b made if any..someone please help me with my dilema

i honestly don't have the money to get the 2.5...any suggestions that may help with the swap or any other way i may b able to fix the problem. i really need my car working soon its my only trans.

Well you will spend alot more then buying the other engine to make the N/A motor work.
The ECU will have to be replaced to a N/A. Which means new one adn programmed to the car.
I would try to look around on other places for the motor.
Check e-bay,craigslist,car-parts.com, and anywhere else you can.
