Default S60- performance capabilities

Looking into getting a factory turbo car and the S60 is one on my list. I like my cars to handle as if on rails and to have high power. The question is, can the S60 give me that?

Any companies make fullbody coilovers for the S60? bushing kits? etc.

Turbo upgrades? Intercoolers? fuel systems? etc.

Whats max power the stock S60 block can handle before it pops?

I really like the body style so I hope it can meet my other needs.

Thanks for any info you can give me.

Well personally I'd go with an 850T5, 850R and or 1998 V70T5, 1998 V70R or 1998 S70T5.

While they are older, they are better cars all around, especially for performance upgrades. That is in my opinion.

1. KW Coilovers makes a kit for the 2001+ S60 AWD 2.4T & 2.5T they also make a kit for the 2001+ S60 FWD 2.4L, 2.3L. Viva Performanc sells these, don't know if they are in business anymore. EuroSportTuning sells these as well.

2. You can upgrade the 16T that is on most S60 turbo models to an 18T or 19T. Other upgrades will be needed to accomodate these bigger turbos.

3. EuroSportTuning has a bushing kit for the 2001-2007 model S60's.

4. As far as direct fit intercoolers I don't think there are any. You would have to measure for a direct fit upgraded intercooler and or FMIC system. An FMIC would be the better choice, but custom made to size and custom piping.

5. I think you could easily do 300-320 Hp before it would break.

I like my 2003 S60 2.4 non turbo, it rides well but I really love my 2002 A6 Quatro 2.7 turbo. I have never driven a performance version of the Volvo to compare it to but it seems too big to me to compete with the Audi....

Ok that's all and well but that has nothing to do with what the author of this thread asked about.
