Default S60 Performance Mods ?

Hi ... I'm new and just purchased an 01' s60t.

It's so much fun I'm ready to mod it.

I'm told by switching to the 'Euro' computer you will gain close to 130hp.. any truth in that?

And what are some of the free mods you can do to these?

Thanks again

I think you were given some highly exaggerated information. Adding 130 hp with just a chip would put the car at almost 380 hp. A $45k s60R comes with "only" 300 hp. Gains like that are not arrived at by simply changing a chip. Maybe a 13 hp gain and better drivability is what you should expect. I would look to chassis mods and learn to keep the car on the BST!

Your turbo looks similiar to the one in the picture I attached. The round thing with the rod comming out is the waste gate. You remove the clip from the end of the rod where it attaches to the turbo housing.Opposite of the round vaccum part of the valve. You loosen the nut and unscrew the end about 1 turn then reinstall then drive it and see what happens. You might end up going to far and have to back off on it.On your car you will have to remove the heat sheilds at the back of the motor to gain access to the turbo assy.
