Default NA Performance Mods

I have a Volvo s60 2.4 NA. Are there any performance mods I can do for it? I would especially be interested in those that wouln't require too much money to be spant, but anything works.

Thanks.

Well you bought the wrong car if you want cheap mods.

Nothing for Volvo's are cheap and that includes any aftermarket parts as well.

You have an NA which means engines mods are going to be costly and not worth it. Suspension mods are where you should aim your money to. Although they are still exspensive.

If you have to do engine mods do a K&N panel filter and or create your own custom CAI. Also a 2.25" to 2.5" catback system with a muffler like a Flowmaster might gain you some ponies but not many if any. You want a muffler with baffles because NA's need back pressure and a straight through design muffler wont give you that. To bes honest there are not many aftermarket mods engine wise for NA Volvo's. I would have a local shop custom make that catback system for you. You could put Nitrous on your car, but I would read up on how Nitrous works and everything else before putting it on and using it. The more you know the better, we don't want you blowing your car up. Also do not run more then a 35 shot.

Suspension is what you should focus on. Lowering springs, strut brace, sway bars, sway bar endlinks, shocks/struts.

Engine Mods

1. Sport Exhaust System: http://www.vivaperformance.com/catal...roducts_id=411

2. Adjustable Cam Timing Tool: http://www.quickbrickmotorsports.com/prod_camtool.html

3. Custom ECU tuning. This can get costly and I don't know any tuner that tune NA s60's, but you can check them all out. This also wont net you very much horsepower at all and truly isn't worth it.

No problem

Yes you could create a custom turbocharger kit, but IMO it isn't worth it. Sell your NA and buy a turbo model. It will be costly and take many many dyno hours and tuning.

1. Turbo
2. Intercooler (OEM or create a custom FMIC)
3. Either way you will have to create intercooler hard pipes unless you can get the ones from the turbocharged s60 to work with the OEM intercooler.
4. Couplers
5. T-Bolt clamps
6. Vaccum lines
7. Downpipe
8. Catback system
9. Possibly injectors
10. ECU tuning (This is the biggest part of the whole thing. You will need to dyno tune your ride to get it right and that takes many many many hours and monies to do).

I know I am leaving things out but that is the basic gist. Expect to pay at least $3k if not more.
