Default S60 Volvo ID sensus connect problems

Hi folks
New Volvo owner here
Had my S60 Business edition D3 for 1 week.
Having problems and nobody at Volvo
Dealers/Customer support knows what to do!!
I have established a good internet connection via my iphone with bluetooth and proove it works because I can google and use apps in my car
BUT the one app I cant use is Volvo ID
I have an account already but I understand it needs to be activated in the car in sensus connect by typing in your email address
Heres the problem.... I just get a blank screen with no log in fields to log in to volvo id
I postrd a message in the volvo support forum and a specialist there said something will be corrupt in the software and the car didnt download the volvo id app properly so it pauses before i can log in
His advice is contact a dealer and ask them to reinstall the cars doftware and this will fix the problem
This seems perfectly feasable to me

That should be easy BUT when I take it to the dealer they look both puzzled and disinterested and give lots of excuses not to do it from
"It takes ages" " we dont carry the software" to... " Oh we just tried the same thing on an XC90 and that does it too so no point in reinstalling your software "
So I dont really know what to do here
I guess what I'm asking here is does any one else know of this problem
