S60 vs. S60 w/ Sport Package? Helo!
All,
Need a little advice. Have the chance to purchase either. The specs.
2001 - $6500
S60 - Base Model (I guess)
Driver only power seat.
Base engine.
Well kept and maitained. Very few flaws.
73,000
2001 - $9900
S60 - Sport (I think)
Turbo Motor
Fully Loaded
Triptronic Tranny ( I think that is what it is called)
Just seems to have a couple of upgrades that the other doesn't
Darn near perfect.
51,000
Drove both. The turbo is far sportier. I am curious if one is more prone to problems than the other? Reliability? Costs? I am trying to make a wise decision with my wife. Both, I feel, would be good. One is a lot cheaper and the extra money could go into the bank for potential problems. The other, I feel, would have fewer problems. I mean, that turbo one has hardly been driven. Carfax gives both a clean bill of health.
Help!
Thanks,
Jason & Peyton

All things being equal, the turbo model has the possibility of more repair costs, simply because there's more to go wrong. That being said, if they both look well cared for and otherwise in good condition, get the turbo model for your wife. Has less miles, more standard equipment, sounds to be in better condition. And the wife will think you did it for her
