Question S60R Help& Questions (simple qurstions)

Hey guys,

I am new. I am from the american world (switching to either an audi or S60R i found.) Sorry if these questions sounds dumb, I am not familiar with volvos.

A couple questions I have..

It has the stock R branded wheels. If I cut the wheels real hard, it rubs.. is this normal? The guy says it is normal, it rubs on all S60Rs. I have a hard time believing that.

Also, If i step on the gas pretty good (seeing how fast it goes) the RPMs fly up to 5,000 right away. Now I know the powerbands at 1,900, but should it be going that high within a couple seconds?

Some other guys are able to look up a VIN (if their a dealer or something) for me.. Here it is:

YU1RH527262538505

Thanks guys!

The tire rub is normal. The wheels are to wide for the chassis but have to be that wide to clear the brembos.

Was it an auto that you were test driving? I can't help you there. Of you do get an auto, get a '06 or '07. They have a 6 speed transmission as well as not being tq limited in 1st and 2nd gears.
