Hi. I just bought my first car--- a beautiful 2001 Volvo S80! It's so pretty. But I can't figure out how to open up the hood. Where's the latch? I'm sorry if I sound stupid but I just can't find it! Can you please help me? Kathy

 

It is under the dash on the left side.(U.S.)
almost where the light is in the bottom of the dash. It is in the side panel.

Did you figure out where to hook the charger up to?

The battery is in the trunk.
But you can hook the charger up under the hood.

 

I was kinda proud of myself for finding the battery!

I charged it from the trunk. I noticed the red wire under the front hood (going to the fuse box)
but didn't know if it was safe to charge THAT (???). If so, where would I attach the negative if
I were to do it in the future?

The ground could go to anywhere on the body or the engine.
