Default S60s and Rusting

Hi,

I had a 240 and it rusted out bigtime. I just bought a 2004 S60 T5 and was wondering if the new volvos have the same types of problems with rusting.

Any help would be great.

I do not see rust issues on any models from like the 850, S70 and up. Seems like around 1996 and up are better as far as handling rust. I guess they are galvanized, but the old 240 models were not.

During the 90's is when Volvo switched from a single-coat paint to a 2-part paint w/ clear coat.... perhaps this has something to do w/ it?
