S60Turbo MAF keeps goiing bad
PLEASE HELP!
I know there has to be something else going on. The MAF sensor has been replaced approx 4 times in the last 2 years. Most recently Dec 2021.
There were some hoses that were collapsing - replaced - MAF still reads bad.
Brake Booster Vacuum Pump Switch cracked – replaced – MAF still reads bad.
Found another sensor with no O-ring – fixed – MAF still reads bad.
PLEASE HELP!

Is the MAF truly bad or are you using the wrong part? What do you mean by "MAF still reads bad"? Are you seeing a fault code that suggests the MAF may need replacing or are you actually measuring resistance/voltage etc?
This last time the dealer replaced it. Both an OBD II reader and an Autel system have been used to read the codes.
The car started to run rough, it wouldn't idle well and would cut off from time to time at low idle.
In the last six months these items have been replaced trying to determine the problem:
- Crankcase Oil Vent
- Ignition Switch
- MAF Sensor (replaced 12/17/21; 6/26/20; 5/20/20; 4/13/19; 1/14/19) Most were replaced before I got the car.
- Intake Manifold Vacuum Hoses
- Brake Booster Vacuum Pump Switch
- There was something else that was found not to have an O-ring, that was added and replace, but I forget what is was.
- Other regular maintenance items.

what year is your S60? the symptoms could also be signs of a problem with the ETM (more common with the early S60s). Check out the Xemodex website for some insights on how to diagnose/common symptoms.
