So I need some help understanding what happened to me. I'll start from the beginning. 3 days ago or so I lost traction on the freeway and spun two times and finally came to a stop when I rolled backward into the wall of the off ramp. As soon as it happened the s60 shut off. I tried to start the car and move to a safer place but when I shift in gear she stalls. After several attempts I am able to get in gear and off the freeway. The bumper cover is damaged but nothing to serious one would assume at first glance. I couldnt get her running and had to get a tow. Since then Ive replaced the fuel filter( Im not a mechanic and Was hoping for the best) and disconnected the battery in an attempt to reset it. I dont have the slightest idea in which way to move forward but I dont want to find out my volvo is terminal. Is this a transmission problem, have read it could be a drive train problem. Any input would help.
in summary my volvo is a 02 s60 and after spinning out it stalls. Its stalls when I put it in gear unless Im gassing it and drop from neutral to drive. If I shift from park to reverse it stalls. But parked or in neutral it runs normally.

not likely terminal but it is possible you messed up a vacuum or intake hose or connector to a sensor somewhere that needs to be sussed out.
