I had just had my transmission replaced and noticed a slight squeaking noise like two balloons rubbing together when I turn my steering wheel. I have checked the fluid levels, everything looks good. I'm hoping that it's just the cold from winter. Could it have to do with the repairs on my transmission or just coincidence.

 

check the lower steering column bearing inside the car make sure it is sat in the large floor gromment as these usually pop out cos the subframe and steering rack is lowered to remove gearbox
