SRS Airbag Service Urgent!
Okay I have read on here about this light coming on for stereo installs to seat modules and climate control issues. Here is my question. After having the transmission replaced 3 days ago, it came on and I'm curious if the repair shop caused this somehow? My car is not under warranty and I don't want to pay for it if I don't have to. Here are the facts...
1. Transmission pulled and installed
2. Battery was completely dead and had to replace it with a new one.
3. Picked up car and the "Service Transmission" red light came on. Took car back.
4. Mechanic said everything checked but the Torque Converter (which was new).
5. Transmission pulled back out and Torque Converter replaced.
6. Transmission installed again.
7. Rubbing noise in steering column and they "fixed it" somehow.
8. 3 Days later the light came on.?????
SO IS THE REPAIR SHOP LIABLE TO LOOK INTO THIS OR IS IT COINCIDENCE?

if they unplugged either seat with the key in the ignition, it will set off the warning light. Volvo reset mine for $50. They wanted $115 and stated it took 2 hours to do. I spoke to the service manager and told her I knew 2 hours was BS and she agreet to do it for $50. It only took about 20 minutes.
