steering wheel controls

Default steering wheel controls

does anyone know how to replace the lights in the steering wheel controls and take those buttons off? i've been serching everywhere and haven't found a thing.

Hi,

It would be helpful if you could specify the model year & trim level of your car.

I'm not privy to the S60s, but I believe they use tiny light bulbs for the steering column (or LEDs, if it's '06 or newer?).

If you did not receive any replies other than mine, I would first look for a service manual and see if it has a procedure for the bulb replacement. Or, if you make friends with a shop/dealer, you can ask them and they'll be happy to give you some tips.

I would assume that you'd want to disable the SRS first, by disconnecting the negative battery cable.

I hope this gets you started.

You have to remove the Air Bag to gain access to the switches.
