I know, a stupid question. Where is the battery on my new (to me) 2002 S60? No owners manual. Sheepish grin.

 

in the trunk under the carpeting on he left side. it is covered with a black brace and a plastic cover

FYI ,There is a power point in the engine compartment near the fuse panel if you ever need to jump start the car. No need to empty the trunk and access the battery.

 

Thanks, I noticed the power point. This is my son's car, new to us. he is in the Marines and will be coming to the states in July. He had an Audi during his high school years and the battery was under the back seat. So happy it is in the trunk!.
