I am in a process of buying a used car - 2015 year from a seller quite a distance from me. Just wondering - how can I tell by looking at pictures to tell if the car has tech package?

Get the VIN. With that you can contact a Volvo dealer, and they can tell you how the car is equipped.

 

I am in same boat as kentai3838....looking for a used 2014 or 15 with Tech Package.
Cannot check all the available ones thru a dealer! And the VIN to Options decoder does not exist for Volvos...
Can someone that has it please tell me if something on dash or whatever gives it away ?

What is the TECH PACKAGE function that you are looking for?
There are some buttons that may guide you.
They are at the bottom of the center console, in front of the shifter.
The owners manuals have descriptions of the functions.
It's not listed as TECH PACKAGE.

Adaptive Cruise Control w/Queue Assist, Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake, Pedestrian & Cyclist Detection with Full Auto Brake, Driver Alert Control-Road Sign Information-Active High Beam, Lane Keeping Aid

The key here is "Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake, Pedestrian & Cyclist Detection with Full Auto Brake", which works beyond the Std City Safe feature.

Since could not find even a single car with Tech Pkg(only) then needed to get the 2015.5 (build date after JUNE2014) with Platinum Pkg which includes Tech Pkg.
$1500 vs. $6k, jeeez--but do like all the goodies.

Old thread, but I have a similar question. Is there no way to identify Tech package / presence of the pedestrian / cyclist detect feature through some kind of button or other dashboard indicator? It is much easier to scan photos for the presence of a visual indicator than to check every VIN when looking for a used vehicle.

 

Need the 3 buttons on bottom, means tech/platinum package. 2015.5 or later.

Does anyone know if the tech package can be added after manufacture? I am in the process of buying a 2016 V60 R-design that does not currently have the technology package.
