Default Top radiator hose bulges on both ends...

Hey guys... so I notice my s60 2.4t top radiator hose bulges on both ends... and I don't know why... the temperature gauge stays in the middle and doesn't move past that... any suggestions? I'm thinking of doing a complete radiator flush... replacing the hose and re-adding the new coolant and putting in a new thermostat aswell...what are your guys take??? Thanks for any feedback

I have a different issue. Have a 4.5 year old Volvo S 60 Sumum.

Coolant level has been going down and an alert comes.

Now they have found coolant in the exhaust pipe. Is this a engine defect.

This car has been giving trouble since it was purchased.

Now they want to open the head and see.

Is this a case of bad quality casts.

Your planned approach is probably the right way to go.
The bulging may be an indication that the existing top radiator hose is ageing anyway. Is the bottom one OK?
You will most likely need to burp the system a couple of times to expel any airlocks within the coolant system after doing the above work and renewing the coolant. Also check that your coolant overflow tank cap is also in good condition as coolant can be lost there under pressure.
