I am changing the trans fluid in our S60 Auto 2.4T. I got the correct fluid from the dealer #1161540 but in the older models they had a dipstick for the trans fluid but I can not see a dipstick on this one? Am I getting blind or do they use a fill and release bolt under the car? I hope someone have done this, please let me know. Magnus

 

The dipstick is very hard to find you have to look good in the front of the trans. about half way down.

 

Hint, take the fluid back for refund. Call a Mobil distributor and get Mobil 3309. Same fluid for 1/4 the price. Fill tube is hard to see. But if you raise the hood, stand on the right side of the front of the car, grab a flash light and half way down around some hoses is a yellow plug. Grab the tip and squeeze the clip off and there it is. Then get underneath like an oil change, and find a hex head on the trans, it's the drain plug. Unscrew it, drain out 3.5 quarts or so. Refill, drive around the block, and do it two more times. That will pretty much use up the 12 quart case of Mobil 3309.
You should be good to go for 50K after that.
