Hello ,I have a 2001 s60 base with 97xxx miles and one morning the transmission went into limp mode out of no where before that started It shifted great no slips no flares I scanned it with a autotel and the codes are cem 3f03. Cem1a61 .cem1a25. cem6a01 no oher codes , I replaced neutral safety switch with a Volvo one ,no change ,checked all fuses and wire harness and connections all clean ,I took out the tcm cleaned and reinstalled,no change .car runs fine everything works on dash no traction or abs light.on but still in trans limp mode ..any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Your 1a61 is non communication the the cem. Here's what Volvo suggests might be the problem. Unfortunately for diagnostics the only thing Volvo suggests after checking for electrical corrosion at connectors in the system is connecting their breakout box. And making sure there is not a problem in the low and high speed network wires. That's going to require someone familiar with CAN networks, is very adept with electronics and a bunch of reference material. (A wiring diagram and appropriate test equipment. )
