Trunk Struts - 04 S60

Both of my trunk struts have broken free from their pivots. I inquired with the local dealer what they would charge to install new ones.
This is what was quoted from the dealer:Parts - $100
Labor (1/2 hour) - $60 = $160 in all.
I bought two brand new trunk struts online through a Volvo parts distributor and paid $70 for the same parts. They arrived yesterday and it took me all of about 2 minutes to install the new ones all while I was talking on the phone with a client. I could not believe how easy it was. The majority of the two minutes was spent prying the old ones off. The actual install of the new ones took about 30 seconds combined.
DO NOT pay the dealer more thanten centsto install these for you. Unless you have no hands, no brain, no pulse (and even still, ask the nearest stray dog if he can possibly do it) it is not worth the money the dealer wants to (literally) snap the new ones in place.
Spread the word. I would love to hear more examples for this model Volvo (and others) that are not worth paying the dealer their overinflated labor.
