Turbo and Clutch Problems
Ok so I'll start with the clutch. This is my first manual car, but I've driven lots of stick shifts before. I was riding with the windows down and noticed that when I engage the clutch a loud metal crunching sound happened. This could be normal, but I've never noticed it before. What I'm asking is, is it ok to hear the sound of the clutch engaging?
Now to the turbo, I was riding around today and when I went to pass a car I noticed only a small whistle coming from the turbo. The boost gauge only read 5psi and I could tell it was a lot slower. There was also a backfire when the rpms came down to around 2000. I read problems with the TCV and loose connections but all the hoses seem to be pretty tight, although I could have missed one. I let the car sit for a few hours and came back out hoping that it would have fixed itself (I guess I was hoping for some Louisiana voodoo), but I still had the same problem. None of the check engine lights are on and no smoke is coming from the exhaust, any ideas?
Thanks,
Jackson

how many miles, what exact type of s60 and year is it
if the clutch hasn't been replaced in a while go ahead and get it done and check for any other problems
however it will make "some" noise but if its loud that may indicate a problem
for the turbo, get a can of carb cleaner and turn on the car spray down hoses and especially around the intake manifold, if the car surges or sputters that's where your leak is. but it sounds like you definitely have a leak but it could be as simple as a loose hose clamp.
