Default Turbo Oil Leak and more '01 S60 2.4 T

I take my '01 2.4 T to the local import shop for (sythetic) oil changes every 5k-7k (I have 84K on the car),and they inspect everything for me. This last trip to the shop, I have had to put powersteering fluid in before I took it in. I appear to need power steering fluid AGAIN, (it's only been about 1K since last oil change. I was told that the Turbo is leaking oil, (about the size of a quarter),though they said nothing about the power steering. I'm wondering if those problems are related.

The car is shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd really roughly sometimes. I won't even notice a hitch other times. I have read to clean the throttle box. I have also read toreplace thetransmission fluid. I don't do my own work and would ask my shop to do it. Where do I start?

My car has been working awesomeat one point in theday and then terrible the next time I start it. The nearest dealership is really far. I'd have to take a day off work just to take it there. I don't know if that software has been taken off for the fuel/emission efficiency thing. I bought the car used. Obviously, I'm looking to have minimal expenses but need the car running without problems. Help!?

Check the hose where it attaches to the front of the pump. The big rubber hose the clamps usually don't stay tight.

I would do a tranny flush and see what happens from there.

The Turbo's always have a slight bit of oil on them.

The tubo thing's good to hear. I have been scared into believing that my car might be junk if the turbo's leaking.

I put more power steering fluidin yesterday and it appears notto be leaking from the clamp coming out of the resivoir but I really should look more closely.

I havea roommatethathas worked as amechanic and said he'd give me a hand with that flush. I've priced that kit and the funnel they tell you to get and it seems not too costly and absolutely worth the effort, (which is minimal). I printed the instructions and everything and he said it'd be an easy job.

I will. The service light has come on when I start the car but only stays on for about a min or 2 and it's off.

I'm going to have to wait for a little better weather because we'll be performing the tranny fluid change outside. I'm in flagstaff. Burrrrr...

Walk a mile in my shoes, Detroit area is frequently never above 15 for the last two weeks and that's midday. I am sure Flagstaff isn't close to that.

The service now light is just a reminder every 7500 miles that you have to go to the dealer and get ripped off for an oil change.

1) buy a case of Mobil 3309 (12 quarts available at Mobil Distributors or IPDUSA)
2) drain and fill three times or more
3) have dealer reflash transmission
4) replace B4 servo (only about $35 part plus labor, easy job)

You're damn right it doesn't get that cold in Flagstaff. Why do you think I moved from MINNESOTA?! Okay, not really the reason I left, but I really enjoy the mild weather here. I do not enjoy the outrageous cost of living.

Hey, I just got an idea. You can take a vacation here, and while you're at it, service my car for some extra spending cash. Yep. Solved my problems!

Occasionally, when I'm driving at 40mph, I can see and feel the RPMs go up and down as if it doesn't know what gear to be in. Still think I should just start with the transmission fluid flush?

Does this lend help to any other problems my car may be having?
