Hi all!
My question is simple, is there a way to disable trunk button? Lately many cars are stolen, they break windows and access the trunk once inside, just a click, how can i modify so is not possible to open the trunk unless you use the key or car is on?

You don't identify what model year S60 you have. On the 2013 (and I think 2012) you can use the physical key to turn the lock on the glovebox 180 degrees to activate the trunk lock, which disables the trunk open button on the dash. Check your owners' manual.

 

Hi thanks for the answer, my model is Nov 2011. I already tested what the manual says about privacy lock is called but it does not work, the sales rep at Volvo told me this is an option that costs 40 euros and that you have to ask for it at the moment they build the car, so now is not an option to buy anymore
Could it be software related? Or some device that controls trunk door? I do not know but is not an option anymore.

 

That is interesting; I did not realize it is an option.

It seems unlikely that it cannot be retrofitted in an existing car, but I do not know exactly how it works, so the sales rep may be right.
