Default Unstable rews when holding brake on D gear

Hi, I have a small problem with my s60 2.4T auto 2001 (not geartronic) 62k miles. When stopping on the road and holding my foot on the brake I can notice small rews change (50-150). It is more noticeable during night because lights are getting dimmed a bit for a sec like uncharged battery. I have changed sparks but still got the same issue. It is only happening on forward gears, neutral and rewers are not causing that minimal rews drop.

Could anyone advise if it is standard behaviour? Or what steps can be taken to correct that?

All help much appreciated. Thanks.

I had a very similar thing going on with my 2001 as well. I had a few guesses of what it could be, but still I wasn't positive. When I brought my car in for a timing belt I did not mention the problem to them. They called me up during the change and suggested I replace the water pump because it was bad. I noticed right away once I got it back that the revving thing was gone. It's been a month now and I haven't seen it return. I am not sure if you have the same problem, but I thought I would share that.

My car has a lot more miles on it than yours (I am at 110K now). But I began noticing it a few years ago.

Make sure the neutral control has been disabled.
