each time I start up, the USB stick takes a minute or more before playback begins.
Is that normal?

my 2012 takes about 10-15 seconds frequently but not always. sometimes nearly instantly

 

how much music on what size drive?
8G used of 16G or ........?

 

I have a san disk 32 G with about 18GB filled.


I did combine some folders to make it easier to navigate.
I moved the music files on my laptop to have fewer albums.


I also have a Toyota that uses the same files and it's about the same load time.


I'm not sure why they differ.
I do have about 5 different (brand and size) USB sticks and the SAN DISK seems to load better. not faster but all of the files show up.


I have one 16GB that has 14 G in it and sometimes can't find all of the songs.
