Default used S60 maintenance

hi folks- new here and fairly new to the S60. i just got am 04non Turbow/ 58K. Besides normal routine cleanup and oil change, air filter etc...what other maintenance issues should i address on the car? From what i can determine the last maint by a Volvo dealer stamped was 30K.
Also, where on the car does it tell me engine size? VIN, stamping on the block? The manual lists 3 different possible non-turbo engines for the car.
Thanks!

Default RE: used S60 maintenance

Your engine is likely a 2.4L and the engine stamp is located on the side of the timing belt cover on a white sticker. You may have to remove the cover to get a good look at it. It should say something like B5244S.

For maintenance, keep an eye on all of your fluids. It might be good to have the transmission fluid changed soon, then once every couple of years. Brake fluid is recommended every two years as well. As far as replacement parts, stick with OEM (factory equipment). There are a few online retailers that many of us use that sell OEM parts below dealer prices. The Volvo Resources Thread by S70driver is a good starting point for things like that.

Also, if you notice any changes: change in sight, sound, smell, whatever- get a second opinion on it quickly. Either by posting a question or taking it toa trusted mechanic. Small things can turn into big, expensiveproblems if left unattended.
