vibration after replacing lower control arm
So i just finished replace both lower control arms, and after the right side, i notice a slight vibration around 45-60 mph. Not sure why, i didn't have one on the left side. I went to re-tighten the axel nut and wheel just to make sure, and of course just my luck the axel bolt broke off. So i will be working to extract that next. Would I just need an alignment to get the vibration out? thanks!

its your ball joints or wheel barring...same thing with me 60mph on the hi-way brought it to my shop and with firm grip (235lbs man)on bottom of both front wheels a solid tini wiggle ...and said right away you need ball joints badly .....when i did the test i had the car on jack stands and could no where near have given a shove like my mechanic did.Plain and simple this could be your problem or not but ..i would recommend putting it up in the air and give the ball joint a good old hard shove test (at bottom of tire inward and outward ) my wiggle was very little but it was the problem--ball joints alright..hope this may help you eliminate one thing

ball joints separate from the machining ever so slightly over age or hard use(fast over bumps)....i would bet they are on there tight but there is no harm in checking the torque.....AUTOXRAY has to take the credit on this info from here, @ volvoforume
Control Arm Ball Joint Clamp bot nut = 37foot lbs
Control Arm to subframe = 51 lbs plus stage two is tighten an additional 120 degrees
respect autoxray
