Volvo On Call App Active but Car Modem Went to Sleep
Before my yearly subscription expired on the VOC app, I paid for another 12 months. About a week later, when I attempt to remote start the car (2016 V60 CC), I get an error message a few seconds later with "engine malfunction". I've already addressed this with Volvo Customer Care and all they can tell me is the modem went to sleep and new software will need to be downloaded at the dealership. Since my car is no longer under warranty with complimentary software updates, I am looking at roughly $200.
Has anyone else had the same issue? I already asked Volvo Customer Service to refund me my 12 month subscription as I didn't let the subscription lapse in the first place to even trigger the modem fault but no luck.
