I recently had a very unfortunate experience with my Volvo S60 and it needs new engine liners.

I am not technical but my understanding is that you cannot get replacement engine liners and the only option i have is to buy a new engine. As the cost of the new engine is more than the value of the car my only option is to write it off which is devastating as i will be loosing thousand of pounds.

This was the results of the head gasket gone and the engine overheating.

I am trying to see if i have any options and can see on ebay that you can buy Engine Blocks.

Does anyone know whether this might be a cheaper option or are there any other ways around it?

The specs are Volvo S60 2011, D3 2.0 lt Diesel Engine
