Washers not working on S60 2004 2.0T
Relay is operating. To confirm - there is no apprant blockage, no noise at all from the pump and all fuses and relays are ok.and there is fluid in the tank.
Suspect the pump but can anyone tell me the set up for the headlight washers and wipers so I know whether these are fed from the same supply and should operate when the winscreeen washers are triggered?
And then if it's the pump can anyone that has done this replacement on a Mk1 S60 tell me how they did it please btw i want specific experience of an S60 only. i've seen lots of chat on this topic but was looking for a 'this is what i did' and it was 'effective' - i can't believe changing a washer pump is that arduous by design.
Many thanks in advance
David

Hi, I know I am not sure if this helps (like at all) but I’ve had a similar issue with my 2006 s60. Try opening the hood and turning on the engine. Then try using the washer while the hood is open, if the fluid sprays out, find the washer hose and try to play around with it a little. If there is nothing out of the ordinary like you said this might work (or not)

yep. Fill the reservoir then take a listen to see if you can here the pump actuate. On some models there's a T connector on the passenger fender to split the fluid between the left and right nozzles. Make sure none of the hoses have slipped off. Note to access the washer pump on my S40 (and the lower hoses), I had to remove the passenger headlight bucket. Not sure if its the same on your model.
