Hello everyone. I have a 2002 Volvo S60 non-turbo automatic. This week a weird noise developed in the area where I thought was power steering pump. I checked the fluid level and it was fine. I took off the auxilary belt off and checked all the puleys for movement. It turns out my tensioner puley goes side to side a little bit. My question is, could the belt tensioner cause this noise? The noise is only there at idle and goes away after 1000-2000rpm. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
