Hey all! What a great site. Now for my weird problem;

2005 S60. remote lock stopped working today so I had to open with the key. Engine starts, radio works, headlights work but that is it. Air conditioning/heater does not work no dashboard gauges and windows don't roll down and check engine light on. Accelaration is sluggish like the turbo stopped working. weirdest of all is the alarm light blinks like it is armed. Of course I'm going to take it to the shop but can't get there until next Monday and my curiosity always gets me wondering. Any of you experts have any idea? I can't see this being all connected but I can't imagine so many things going wrong at once. Thanks all!

 

ABS module might be bad.
But it could be many things the car has about 20 computers which are networked.

 

Thanks tech. 20 computers? geeesh think I'll go back to my bicycle lol. Thanks for your reply this seems like a problem that really needs to be checked out in the shop just to many variables. Have a great night!

 

Sounds like numerous electrically based systems are acting up. Dealer is probably your best choice for diagnosis in this instance.

 

In 2005 model I've seen the CEM (Central Electronic Module) quits and do all sorts of weird things on the low speed and the high speed side of network. and could be water leak into the CEM due to a faulty weather seal under the windshield cowls. Take it to the dealer and they should be able to find the problems
