Will S60/V90 18inch alloys fit on 2014 S60 buisness
#2
Does anyone know if V90/s90 alloys would fit on an 2014 S60 business? I hit a pot hole the other day and damaged one of my alloys. Volvo want best part of 700 quid for new wheel and tyre.
I can get hold of a set of V90/S90 alloys with new tyres for about £500. They are 245/45/18 and my current ones are 215/55/16. Does anyone know if these would fit and if so what the ramifications are for fitting bigger wider wheels? If anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated.

Generally speaking there are a few variables when determining how alternative wheels will fit. 1) bolt pattern and center bore. Most newer Volvos including your '14 S60 use a 5x108 with a 63.4mm center bore. 2) Offset. Most FWD (and Volvo AWDs) use a positive offset in the 40-55mm range. This says the center line of the rim is moved inward by that amount. 3) Rim width. Rims are typically anywhere from 7 to 9 inches. This is an important consideration when calculating the correct offset so as to not have a wider wheel rub on the strut or fender lip.
So with that tutorial stated, you'd need to know what width your new wheels are. there's a stamping on the rim that will say something like "ET50" and "8J" which is the offset and rim width. Given your tire size, I'd suspect you have 7Jx16 ET50 wheels. If the 18s are from a newer V90, then those wheels should be 8Jx18 ET42 = the wheels will be flusher to the fender lip by 3/4 inch. A quick check using Tirerack.com's site suggests that the correct offset for 18s and you'd need to use 235/40x18 tires (or tyres in the UK markets).
