Windows and High beam issues...
Hi guys, lots of very useful information on the forum. Thanks to all for the shared info. I have needed it since my fiance owns a T5 S60. My first introduction to Volvos, and it is a wonderful car. Fun to drive, extremely reliable, almost 90K and other than normal maint. no money into it.
Recently there are two minor issues and was hoping someone could shed some light on them.
1) passenger window came off the tracks. I fixed this but now if you put it up using the "double click" on the switch, it will close completely and then come down a half inch or so. You can only close the window if you "single click" and hold the switch. Any ideas?
2) the high beam switch seems to be broken. You can pull the lever to turn them on but must hold the lever to keep them on. It used to work that one pull would turn them on and leave them on until you pulled it again. How hard is it to take apart the steering column and find the mechanical issue there?
Thanks again

RE: Windows and High beam issues...
Welcome to the forum Dewdog1978.
1. The window problem could be costly, can you live with it?
The fix may be a simple plastic clip and some inginuity or a new regulator.
2. Put the dashboard headlight switch on. If it is in the running light position (I know, the head lights are on either way, go figure?) the hightbeam leverwill only turn them on as long as you hold it.
