Default Windshield broke while washing

I just washed my wifes 2005 s60 and when I hosed it off the windshield cracked. I was in the shade...this happened to others ?
I know it was the cold water but when I washed mY Chev pick-up I had no problems.
The car is still under warranty and I beleive this should be covered...any comments or help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Warranty won't cover glass, Was the windshield chipped prior to cracking?

The same thing just happened to my S60 yesterday while washing. It was about 75 degrees out and in the shade, and it happened after the final rinse. This crack originated in the top, deadcenter of the windshield, radiated straight down over the rain senso, and made a ninety degree turn towards the passenger side. About a foot in total length. I don't think it is covered under the warranty. My Volvo dealer said its over $600 to replace! Also, there was no chip or in the area prior, and there is no chip in the area now either.

Same thing happened to me but I admittedly was parked in the sun for about 2 hours on a hot day. It cracked down the middle (over the black sensor on the top middle) down about 5 inches and then left and right about a foot.

I hope my comprehensive covers it!

Incidentally what is that black sensor on the windshield?

This also happened to me, and Volvo is refusing to warranty it. Can anyone tell me if their crack started in the same place as this picture?

take a ballpoint pen and very slowly follow it all along the crack you might be surpised to find a microsized pit in it. I see itin shopall the time, even happened to my s60

I just bought a used 2008 s60 2 weeks ago and the same thing just happened. I was stopped at a red light, about 75 degrees out. Same exact crack described above. Not pits at all.
