Help! It started when I had to replace my ignition cylinder and also the alternator. Then warnings were coming up about everything. Air bags, brakes, anti skid, dstc spin control off, service engine, etc. then my heat / ac won't work and front windows sometimes. now it left me stranded and the tow guy says it's my alternator?

 

Did the car start after you did the ignition cylinder (are you talking about the ignition lock cylinder here?)- If so then what? If you were driving down the road and then all the dash lights go wacky - that suggests the alternator because the system voltage went below the nominal voltage. Did you try to jump start the car? When was the alternator replaced - after the ignition lock or at the same time? I'd be looking to see if the connectors to the alternator are still on and whether they are in good shape (no melted insulation/cracked connectors etc). Who installed the alternator and was that work warrantied?
