Default 1998 s70 after it rains, car runs badly then clears

Hello, can anyone help me with this? I have a 1998 s70 160k miles and every time after it rains the car will run very badly and some times stall until after about 3 minuets of driving it will run perfectly. I think the water might be getting in the intake system some how? I replaced the gas cap with a of brand cap, but I don't think water is getting in the tank because it will run clear after a few minuets.
Thank you
-William

The old fashioned plug wires are the old fashioned answer, but it could certainly be something else.

Concur. A way to check is at night, or in a DARK garage, start the car and with a spray bottle, spray some water on the plug wires, distributor cap, etc......you will not only see if you have a voltage leak, but once the water mist hits the spot(s) the car wil run badly for a couple seconds. Either that or just replace the plugs, all the plug wires, Distributor cap and rotor and go from there.
