Default 1998 S70 radiator replace

[align=left]I need to replace my radiator and found instructions on the net that pertain to the 850 but wonder how similar the process is for the S70.

Here is what it says about the 850...

(1) remove top and bottom hoses (done)
(2) remove the oil coller and transmission cooler feeds (4) (done)
(3) remove the (2) 10mm and (2) 8mm bolts that hold the plastic assembly which the intercooler hose is connected to. (I stopped here because my car has torx T25 rather than 10mm and want to make sure that the procedures are the same).
(4) remove the (4) radiator mounting bolts
(5) remove radiator from below the car

Is this how it's done?

The only descrepency I see are my T25 torx rather than the 10mm?

Thanks for any help.

It is the same as the 850.
But make sure you see the right screws.
The screws go from the front of the car in towards the engine.
2 can be seen from under the car. The other 2 you have to see from around the condenser.
Then there is 2 12mm screws holding it to the body from underneath.

If your car is turbo the intercooler comes out with the Radiator.

Hope I'm not getting in over my head with this....awful cold today here so haven't been out there.

I see the 4 in front, wasn't aware of the (2) 12mm. The Chilton info looked like something I could do but it made no mention of the turbo/intercooler situation. I hate to sound like a novice (but I am) and I love to learn......the intercooler does what exactly? Is it roughly the same size as the radiator and sits behind it? That finned raw aluminum piece I see behind the top of the radiator?

I suppose then it's mounted to radiator (with fasteners of some sort?) and I just attach it to new radiator?

I'm very mechanically inclined but unless you work on cars all the time, the processes make you feel like a babe in the woods. I somehow manage in the end though but really would appreciate help on this one.

I do have the Vadis manual coming on DVD which will be nice...love the car....a 98 with only 70K.

The 2500 bucks the dealer needed was out of the question for me.

A couple more questions....

Do you need to take that plastic relay panel off on top with the hose on it?

Hope also, I can get everything out with just jacking up the car. ?

Thanks kindly.

The intercooler cools the air to the turbo.
The intercooler is mounted to the radiator with 2 screws on each side.
There will be 3 radiator looking things there.
1.Radiator 2.intercooler 3.Condensor for the A/C (which will stay with a little help)
I usually wire tie the A/C lines to the body to hold the condensor when removing the radiator.

Yes the relay panel needs to come out.
