I don't remember the size I used...but I would suggest getting an automatic tensioner so that you will never have to adjust it yourself again.

The 98 does not have a nut you can use. What I have done in the past when I did not have the tool was slide a prybar between the pulley and bracket and move the tensioner.

Okay, I'm confused. I'm a female trying to repair this myself. Are you saying I need to replace my old Tensioner?

Tech when you say use a prybar, "Are you talking about a crowbar?" So what I need to do is stick the bar between the pulley that the belt have to thread thru and raise it so i can get the belt on. remember the space is very tight there. Do a 14 mm socket wrench sound about right? Do I need someone else to help me or can I do this by myself?

The 98 should not have the 14MM on the tensioner. It should have a square slot that a 3/4 drive would actually fit into to move the tensioner.
If you have the 14MM then you should be able to use a 14MM wrench to move the tensioner.
